Adventures Underground

This morning we had a lecture on how go boards and go stones are made. There was a short interesting movie. The Nihon Ki in has a nice shop that sells boards and books at a discount. Even with my discount, stones can be $400 and up. There were very expensive bowls as well. But I got things that will help me, small boards in bags. I tried to get a book for a friend back in the US, But it seems to be out of print. Perhaps I can find it on Amazon.JP. In the afternoon we went to a elementary school. Most of the kids were much better behaved. One boy acted out. While they were being taught go, we could see tons of kids practicing cheering routines in their school yard. People here are excited about the Olympics coming in 2020. On the way home I got separated from the group. We also switch subway lines to the national Railroad. I got a little confused and couldn't find the exit. I knew I was in the correct station. All I wanted was to get up to street level. I went to about three exits and got directions, but it was rush-hour in Tokyo. Finally I escaped about an hour after everyone else made it home. I felt like Charlie on the MTA, the man who never returned.
I have become good friends with Ze li, A math professor at TCU in Fort Worth. We had dinner and shared ideas and go, children, and the life. An important part of the workshop is the connection I am making with the other American and Mexican teachers.
