Beautiful shrines and temples

The first Temple we went to was crowded with Chinese tourists. We went to a quieter place, with the moss gardens that I love. We saw a shrine that has lots of statues of foxes. There was climbing up a long hill to see a five story wooden pagoda, first built more than 800 years ago. The end of the day was up a lonely mountain to a cable car. It was serene. Back at Keijiro's home we walked to a local store and got food to have at home.
I have been away from an Internet connection for several days. I was able to post this morning. We started early yesterday, before breakfast. We met on the train; Hideki and I rode the high speed train to Kanazawa; took a train to his village, got in his car and he drove me to his favorite park. Its 10 minutes away, but still Tsubata. His neighbors were coaching kids before they go to jog. He showed a mountain trail through a still, quiet valley. There are bike trails which led to beautiful place for him to work out. After breakfast we set out again. It's hard for me to remember things. We started with going to the house daimyo made for his wife, and was finished by his son. A house for a princess. Then Kenrokoen. We walked outside and saw wedding photos being made. we went into a  Noh performance with a dancer and four guys chanting. We sat in, and I may have fallen asleep. The castle grounds are fascinating. $46,000,000. 55,000 people 1900 square meters. The Castle was once a university grounds. we saw a great history museum with a film on festivals, matsuri. Local contributions by Hideki's family too. Matsuri in Nanao. No parking at the Samurai house. I rest; Hideki drinks and watches baseball. Masako san and I search for books and I show her go games. I am getting a bit worn out by the trip.
