The Workshop Starts

I change my location from the outskirts of Tokyo to the center of town. That is where my workshop on teaching go will be held. We took my baggage in and left it at the hotel. I had a chance to walk over to the National Go Club to see the route. It is only a 10 minute walk. Then we went to the Meiji University, where my friend is an adjunct professor. They have good exhibits of Paleolithic stone found in Japan. It was fascinating. At around three we checked in and I said goodbye to Kojiro. We met for orientation. I'm with a group of nine, although two have not arrived yet because of plane delays. We are all interested and helpful for each other. The Japanese are very welcoming. I'm staying in an inexpensive business hotel. The room is small, but comfortable and clean. It is quiet; I am on the 10th floor. I went down the street with Peter, a professor from Middleberry in Vermont, and we ate at an Indian restaurant.
